Maitreyi Patel

Maitreyi Patel, 17, started learning Bharatanatyam under Smt. Mythili Kumar in 2012. She has performed in Abhinaya Dance Company's annual student recitals and performances in several Bay Area temples. She is also a part of the Junior Dance Company under the direction of Malavika Kumar Walia and has performed with the JDC at the San Francisco International Arts Festival and Abhinaya Dance Company's 40th anniversary celebration. She teaches Intermediate Bharatanatyam classes on Mondays.

Maitreyi will graduate in June 2022 from Cupertino High School where she is heavily involved in academics, while participating in leadership, cultural activities, community service, and various clubs on campus. She is also an aquatic athlete, playing water polo and swimming for 9 years. She hopes to major in Mechanical Engineering.

In her free time, Maitreyi loves spending time with her family, going on hikes, biking with her brother, and meeting friends.
